Renew and Relax

November 17, 2015

It’s that time of year! Yup, the health insurance marketplace is open. You might be thinking about what you should do with your health plan. Don’t worry — we’ve got your back. You can either renew your current plan or find a new plan.

If you are happy with your current plan, all you have to do is update your household info and expected income for 2017, and then select the same one. But it also doesn’t hurt to shop around for other health plans. Why?

  • There could be new plans and new prices.
  • Doctors or drugs covered by your plan could change.
  • Your financial help could change.

If you find a plan that fits your budget and health needs better, go ahead and sign up for it! Remember, free in-person help is available if you need help or have any questions throughout the process.

So before December 15th, make sure to:

  • Update your account.
  • Shop and compare plans. You can remain in the same plan if that’s still the best fit for you.
  • And stay covered!
