Important Deadline for Immigrants Who Got Covered: September 5th

Some people who signed up for health insurance have received notices from asking for documents to verify their citizenship or immigration status.

If you got an email, phone call, or letter asking for this information, you have until September 5th to submit your documents or you could lose your coverage at the end of September.

You can submit your documents in two ways:

  1. You can log into your Marketplace account and upload the needed documents.
  2. You can submit them by mail.

Remember: this notice doesn’t mean that you no longer qualify for coverage, and it doesn’t mean that your health coverage ended. It does mean that you need to take action now so you don’t lose coverage at the end of September.

If you haven’t received a notice asking for documents, you don’t need to do anything.
